Winterbotham Darby required a refresh of their brand to bring it in line with who they are as a company today and to provide an identity that better places them in the future of high-quality food retail and service sector. The rebrand had to appeal to a wide range of audience types from customers to retail buyers and food manufacturers.
The rebrand included the brand strategy, namely the positioning statement, brand values and tone of voice, a visual identity refresh and the creation of a new website. It was crucial that the rebrand reflected the passion and enthusiasm inherent within Winterbotham Darby.
We simplified and strengthened the impact of the logo and created a set of authentic hand-drawn proprietary illustrations that were inspired by woodcut drawings and patterns adorned on serving plates associated with dining, sharing and celebrations.
The bold and energetic illustrative style, paired with vibrant and rich colours created a striking visual identity that embraced passion and authenticity. We also provided art direction on their photographic style, ensuring that not only did it capture amazing looking food imagery, but also showed their human side, from farmers in the field to customers enjoying their food.
