The climate is in crisis. How can the law help?

19 July 2021

Our law firm client Hausfeld recently teamed up with the British Institute for International and Comparative Law (BIICL) to host a captivating virtual event called 'Our Future in the Balance: The Role of Courts and Tribunals in Meeting the Climate Crisis'. This landmark two-day summit explored the role of law in global climate governance.

As part of Living’s pro bono commitment to support environmental initiatives, we were proud to create cut-through, thought-provoking messaging to promote the event across social media. The conference team made smart use of our graphics before, during and after the event – which featured Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland and UN Special Envoy on Climate Change, among another dozen industry and policy leaders.

The highly successful two-day international summit brought together judges, policymakers, academics, legal practitioners, scientists, economists, public health experts and leading youth activists, with the shared interest in discussing how the role of the judiciary can impact global responses to the challenge of climate change.

It is in the DNA of our agency to apply our talents to further the causes of the organisations we support and admire, the missions of our non-profit industry colleagues, and the chosen charities where our team members volunteer their time and service.
