Inspiration

Inspire

Whether it’s helping to inspire local schoolchildren or young apprentices, rebranding a local school, encouraging a team of Mo Bro’s or raising money for charity, our team are busy in more ways than one. And with an environment that’s great for work, rest and play – an open plan studio, social breakout areas, social evenings – we help our team make the most of life at Living.

Volunteering to inspire school children in the real world

We’ve teamed up with Inspire!, an independent charity that links businesses and their employees with schools to inspire, support and open doors for young people. By bringing a diverse range of employee volunteers into the learning environment, they provide young people with employability skills, prepare them for the world of work and give them access to a world of choices and opportunities that may otherwise have remained out of reach.

"I am writing to say a massive thank you for your support over the past academic year! We couldn’t continue to do the work that we do without the support of your organisation and the many volunteers that you send our way!" Jessica Meese, Inspire

We support this work in a variety of ways; from employees volunteering during working hours, work placements, school visits to the workplace and much more. If you are interested in getting involved or just want to learn more, please speak to our Helen Tejedor our HR Manager.

Giving from Living 2016

This year we have supported a number of fantastic charities in UK and globally, including Diabetes UK, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Water Aid through charity events, auctions and collections.

We've also continued our work with Inspire, an independent charity that links businesses and their employees with schools, which included doing our bit during Volunteering Week back in June! We are also working with Christ Church Primary School in Brick Lane London, supporting them with their brand and digital needs as they improve standards throughout the school.

Finally, we have helped tell the story of one of our former clients, Freya Rodger, and her courageous ambition to life (trying her hand at 41 Olympic sports) through a visual identity inspired by her personal journey overcoming non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.

Giving from Living 2015

It's been yet another great fund-raising year at Living, where we've raised funds for our nominated charities and rebranded a local school in London.

The charities to benefit from this year's activity include the British Heart Foundation, Diabetes UK, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Hackney Winter Night Shelter, Red Nose Day and SCT.

We've also continued to collaborate with Inspire – an independent charity that supports the education, training and development of young people in Hackney, Camden and Islington – by offering a number of invaluable work placements in our London studio and by visiting schools to inspire the next generation about their careers.

Finally, the London team has been heavily involved in a pro-bono project for Christ Church Primary School in Brick Lane, where we've launched an award-winning brand that's making a huge difference.

A big thank you to all the team and here's to a great 2016!

Giving from Living 2014

It's been another fantastic fund-raising year at Living, where we've raised money from a range of activities that included the hotly contested Living bake-off and auctioning off retired Macs, through to undertaking the slightly more challenging CityWire and Square Mile runs.

The charities to benefit from this year's activity include The MS Society, Crisis, XLP, the Hackney Pirates, Sense and the Spitalfields Crypt Trust.

We've also continued to collaborate with Inspire – an independent charity that supports the education, training and development of young people in Hackney, Camden and Islington – by offering a number of invaluable work placements in our London studio and by visiting schools to inspire the next generation about their careers.

Finally, the London team has embarked upon a pro-bono project with Christ Church Primary School in Brick Lane, where we'll be revamping their brand and marketing materials over the course of 2015.

A big thank you to all the team and here's to a great 2015!

Creative Pioneers Apprenticeship

We are proud to announce our involvement in the Creative Pioneers Apprenticeship Programme. Along with other leading creative agencies our team is taking part in a nationwide search to find, mentor and support the next generation of talent. Living apprentices take their first important steps onto the career ladder with a twelve-month paid-for placement.

The Higher Apprenticeship leads to an industry-recognised qualification and is the equivalent to a first year degree. As well as an extensive training and development programme Living’s apprentices undertake a mix of online webinars delivered by industry experts, classroom-based activities, workplace assessments, one-to-one tutorials and individual study.

Kate Shaw, Living’s CEO comments: "We are really excited to be associated with this initiative and incorporate it into our recruitment process. Together with our involvement with Inspire, this further demonstrates our commitment to providing young and talented people with an opportunity to find a rewarding and sustainable career path."

Giving from Living

Our teams at Living continue to be very generous – giving both time and money to help a number of charities. 2013 saw us continue our work with Inspire!, an independent and local charity that supports the education, training and development of young people by forming mutually beneficial partnerships between businesses and schools in London.

Throughout the year our teams supported charities including Comic Relief, with a sponsored workshop with a professional stunt man, Children in Need, through the highly competitive Living bake-off, and Movember – 1970's taches on display! Find out more on our Facebook page.

Our London office’s close proximity to Hackney means that every year we welcome a number of schoolchildren to our offices in Shoreditch for two-week placements. They gain first-hand experience of how a business operates and an introduction to a real working environment and our passionate and creative team.

In our Hong Kong office, our team was proud to have supported charity Room to Read, with the design of an invitation for a special screening of Girl Rising in May 2013. Room to Read is a global not-for-profit organisation that works with communities and local governments in Asia and Africa to promote literacy skills and gender equality in education.

A massive thank you to all and here's to another inspiring year at Living!

Proud Partners of WorkHero

With an estimated 350,000 students graduating in 2014, graduate job applications will significantly outpace the growth in vacancies. Many graduates feel invisible to recruiters and employers, and simple don't know how to showcase their potential.

The good folk at WorkHero are building a platform that young people can use to create a dynamic profile that showcases their personality and achievements in a way that a static CV cannot. It will also streamline the recruiting process by providing employers with something they have wanted for years: the ability to search for soft skills that are increasingly valued in the workplace and to simply help spot talent.

The goal is to have 1 million students recording their working and volunteering experiences on their WorkHero profile within the next 5 years.

We helped WorkHero in the early stages of its development, creating its all important name and providing the team with valuable marketing insight and strategy on a pro bono basis. You can find out more about this award-winning at www.workhero.org
